Once you first notice data loss:

2. Evaluation of Your Media

The length of the evaluation depends on the physical condition of the media. On average it takes between 1 to 3 business days for laptops and PCs and up to 5 business days for a Mac. Once the evaluation is complete, we will contact you with a quoted price and plan for data retrieval. Every data recovery case is different, so there are no set strategies for retrieval.

3. Getting Data Recovery Process Updates

Data Recovery status updates are available all day, every day. You can check on your data recovery progress and our engineers' notes by visiting our Check Status page. All that is required is your data recovery work order number and your customer ID listed on the upper right corner of your work order.

4. Returning Your Data

We offer several options for returning your data:

Depending on the size of your data, we return your recovered data on CD(s) or DVD(s) in most cases.
We can also transfer the recovered data onto a new hard drive. If the new hard drive is purchased from somewhere other than Konicom, please confirm that the hard drive is in good working condition. We will not be responsible for any data loss on the new hard drive once it leaves the premises.
If you are unable to pick up your data in person or need to access your recovered data immediately, recovered files can be downloaded via our secure FTP channel. Please talk to our staff if you need this service.
